    Services

The Woodlands Care Home staff are well experienced in dementia care. As well as being run by a Doctor and Nurse team, we only employ staff that are highly qualified and of a caring nature. We specialise in dementia care.

New residents are entitled to a free overnight stay before making a decision. We are visited regularly by the District Nurse, a Chiropodist, a General Practitioner, Opticians, and an Occupational Therapist. Combined with our own staff, your loved one will be well looked after at Woodlands.

    Facilities

We are well equipped to make life pleasant at Woodlands. We have conservatories, lounge and dining facilities, outdoor patio areas, specially equipped showers and assisted bathrooms en-suite.

We give residents as much freedom as we can, considering many have dementia. We welcome any feedback to help meet the needs of each resident.

    Care

Our care philosophy is based on the idea that life at Woodlands needs to be better than it was before they came here. This means we maximise their independence and choices, and take away any concerns that come from living at age – from vulnerability to loneliness. Our residents enjoy a safe, friendly and homely life.

We strive to make sure residents can keep with routines and activities they may have had at their previous Home – be it a care or private one. We recognise that mental health is as precious as physical, and have structures in place to ensure our residents are monitored for both.
